A Note From Our President

Welcome to the Kappa Alpha Theta website!

I am Alyssa Baker, the current Chief Executive Officer of the Epsilon Iota chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Westminster College.

Established at Westminster College in 1982, Epsilon Iota has had over 30 years of sisterhood. Our sisters pride themselves on academic excellence and philanthropic endeavors, all while maintaining a full social calendar. Whether it is athletics, campus/volunteer organizations, or academic groups, Theta’s members are involved in over 60 groups on Westminster’s campus. Many girls hold executive positions in these groups as well! While Thetas maintain a busy schedule, Epsilon Iota has also maintained the highest GPA on campus the past 17 of 19 semesters! We currently stand as the Theta chapter with the longest streak of consecutive semesters being number one in grades, dating back to Spring 2008. We are so proud to be the top chapter in academics out of the 130 Theta chapters!

Due to our high involvement and academic endeavors, Epsilon Iota has been awarded with multiple campus awards, including: the English Cup for highest GPA on campus, the highest community service hours on campus and the Key to Success award. As well, many individual Thetas have received awards such as the Outstanding Senior Award, the Outstanding Panhellenic Member Award, the Outstanding Greek Officer Award, and the Outstanding Alumni Advisor Award. These are all incredible accomplishments, and our chapter is so excited and honored!

While these awards and recognitions are important to the women of Epsilon Iota, nothing is more important in Theta than our sisterhood. Our sisters enjoy participating in our many philanthropic events for CASA, such as Cupcakes for CASA and Carnations for CASA. As well, supporting other Greek life organizations helps Thetas create bonds with other Greek life members while raising funds for important causes. Along with philanthropy events, our members love to spend time together at our social events, including Date a Theta and our Spring Formal. Whether it is at a social event or a philanthropy event, the women of Epsilon Iota truly enjoy the time we spend together.

At the end of Formal Recruitment 2012, Epsilon Iota gave bids to 14 incredible new members. All of these women have dove head first into our organization, and we could not be more proud of them!

As the Chief Executive Officer of the Epsilon Iota chapter, I could not be more proud or honored to lead a group of such incredible women. Theta has many new ideas for the upcoming year that we hope will further our success as a chapter. I look forward to continuing Theta’s tradition of excellence on Westminster’s campus!

Thank you for taking the time to check out our website! Please check back often for updates.
